With Thunder and Derby behind us RugCutters Revival, our twice a month all ages swing dance, is back to its regular schedule – the 1st & 3rd Saturday’s of the month.
7:30-8 is the Intro Lesson, great for those just learning.
8-10pm is social dancing – with 2-3 dj’s per night spinning great swing and jazz tunes for your toes to tap to.

Bust out your Derby hats and join us for some Pre-Derby dancing at a special 4th Saturday – RugCutters Revival, April 27th!
We’ve got hat contests (for ladies and gents), races of our own, and lots of great swing music. Our and intro lesson from 7:30 – 8:00 is great for those new to swing. Social dancing goes from 8:00-11:00pm.
We’ll be at our regular location, Xplosive Rhythms Studio, 2nd floor of St. Matthews Station (take the elevator).
Tomorrow’s Solo Charleston class, due a studio space emergency had to be moved from 8-9pm to 9-10pm.

March gives you two opportunities to explore Solo Charleston and Jazz movement with Emily Schuhmann – the 2013 Dayton Swing Smackdown 1st place winner in Solo Jazz/Charleston.
April brings a 4 week Lndy Hop series taught by Liz Thatcher and Chris Schoenfelder, Chris took 1st place in the 2013 Dayton Swing Smackdown Jack & Jill Lindy Hop competition.
That’s right, you can now swing dance the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month, starting in February, 2013.
In January of 2013, LSDS found a great new location to host our dances, Xplosive Rhythms, and we know you’ll love it, too. The studio, located upstairs in the St. Matthews Station, has a terrific dance floor, plenty of space to swing-out and swivel, as well as a welcoming atmosphere, so come check it out.

RugCutter’s Revival is a monthly all-ages swing dance put on by the Louisville Swing Dance Society.
